13 Candle Promotion Ideas

There are lots of candle marketing ideas, including blogging, social media, e-commerce, giveaways, paid advertisements, print flyers, direct mail, local newspapers, etc. However, there are two main types of advertising that you should consider using: Free and Paid.

Free advertising includes blogs, social media sites, YouTube, Tiktok, farmers markets, community participation, e-commerce, giveaways, paid advertisements, print fliers, and direct mail.

Paid advertising includes paid ads on Google, Bing, Yahoo, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Reddit, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and others.

1. Blogging

Starting a blog is the first thing I suggest to new bloggers. Blogging is a great way to build authority and establish yourself as an expert in your niche. You'll also find that blogging helps you gain exposure and attract new readers.

Once you've created your blog, you'll want to write about candle-related topics. These include anything from candle reviews to candle safety tips. As long as candle business owners provide value to their audience, they will keep coming back for more.

2. Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual search platform that allows users to browse through thousands of items at once. You can find anything from recipes to furniture to clothing. It's a great place to sell your products if you've created a beautiful product.

Gather a variety of your candle products in different sizes and styles, and ask a few friends to help you take pictures. Then you can gather those pictures and upload them to Pinterest. Create a new board called "Candles", and add your pictures to it. Pin your pictures to the board using the arrows above the pin button.

3. YouTube

Starting a YouTube channel is a great way to build a brand online and drive traffic back to the candle company's website. People visit YouTube to watch videos, so you should definitely include links to your website in the descriptions of your videos.

Also, since YouTube generates advertising revenue for creators, you'll be able to generate additional income from your videos.

4. Facebook

One option is to sell candles through Facebook advertising. candle creators can set up a business account on the social network and try to post like they are just another regular person.

Don't post every single post as self-promotion. Instead, post pictures of buying supplies, posting pictures of the candle-making process, engaging with people, and asking their questions.

Boosting your posts for a few dollars per click is a great, but inexpensive way to generate traffic to your website.

5. Local Newspaper

You can advertise your handmade candle business in local newspapers. These days, most newspapers include classified ads in the "For Sale" section. However, if you want to attract more buyers, you'll need to spend money on newspaper advertising.

6. Direct Mail

This is a great idea for direct mail advertising. You can find out where local businesses are located using the USPS website. Then, print off address labels and place them directly onto envelopes.

Send those envelopes out to local businesses and let them decide whether they want to receive your promotional material.

7. Print Flyers

You can easily print flyers using Microsoft Word. You'll need to download the free version of Word if you haven't already done so. Then select the option to print to PDF. After printing, save the file to your computer. Now you can upload the flyer to any online service that allows you to add graphics.

8. Online Paid Advertisements

Paid online advertisements are a great option if you are selling a very expensive item. These ads are usually placed on websites where there are lots of people searching for products similar to yours. You can place paid advertisements on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Google.

9. Community Participation

There are lots of ways to participate in your community. You can sponsor some park benches in the neighborhood, donate to some charity events or fundraisers, or simply donate nice candles for a fundraiser!

10. E-commerce

Candles are great products to sell online. You can get your product on websites like Etsy, Amazon, and eBay and all you have to do is pay associated fees and they'll bring in customers for you.

11. Giveaways

A lot of rules also exist on social media regarding giveaways, but you can have third-party websites to help you manage them. You can also run a contest on your YouTube channel, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook for a giveaway. Run a contest for 10 winners and give away 10 nice premium-grade candles.

12. Farmers Markets

A farmers market is a great place to sell your products. You'll find lots of potential customers there, and it's a good place to build brand awareness. However, if you decide to participate in a farmers market, make sure you have plenty of favorite candles available.

13. Tiktok

There are two main reasons why you should consider Tiktok for advertisement. First, you can quickly generate a large number of followers. Second, you can easily monetize your account through ads. Once you've created your account, you'll want to start uploading videos.

Conclusion

You should never stop promoting your products. Even if you have thousands of scented candle sales, there's still plenty of room for growth. As long as you keep growing, you'll continue to attract new customers.
